Märt Infanger Lives and works in Lucerne (Switzerland). Known throughout Europe for his complex explorations of historical typographic art, Märt Infanger follows the path opened by the avant-garde artist Hans-Rudolf Lutz - leader of the Typographic Expression group (Studio Hollenstein) and a reference since the 1960s. Studying the syncretic power of images from our modern times, Märt Infanger fragments, recomposes, miniaturizes and/or oversizes visual messages, seeking to bring up an alternative vision of society. Joys, desires and tears of our contemporary reality are told to us in the manner of a surrealist dream, and where the illusion of time and the notion of forgetting are questioned. His art is applied to the quality of the papers and inks selected, as well as to the printing techniques chosen. In 30 years, his creations have become unmistakable, and recognizable among thousands.
